The Luminare Wedding and Event Space

Last week I was able to attend the Floral Hustle workshop put on by Jeni from Green Goddess floral. The workshop included training and then all the florals to design and create some incredible work the women can use to showcase the work they do for their business. These workshops are some of the most fun I have in the wedding industry. Everyone is very kind, creative, and hard working.

The Luminare as a venue itself is bigger than I expected. It boasts, 26’ tall ceilings with blank canvas white walls , gorgeous natural light throughout from many windows and skylights, exposed industrial gray beams, polished concrete floor, customizable, color changing LED lighting, a totally customizable open floor plan, and a fun modern industrial warehouse vibe.

On The Luminare website it's mentioned- "At The Luminare, there are no hidden extra fees. There are also many amenities that you will find complimentary with the space rental: Staff to welcome Guests and assist with Parking, Coat Checks and Security, Assortment of Round and Rectangle Tables, and Chairs for up to 300 Guests, A private suite to be used as a VIP room, and office, or a getting ready suite for a wedding, Landscaped, private courtyard, with cafe lighting, and exterior speakers, Parking for up to 95 cars, with ample complimentary on-street parking, Interior Speakers, Microphone, and 2 Projectors for Movies or Slideshows, Setup, including Ceremony Setups, Room Flips, Access to any of the venue’s decor."

They focus on sustainability as one of their missions as they are trying to eliminate waste. They do this by donating excess food to food banks in the area, using compostable cups at the bar, and eliminating the use of floral foam! You can read more here: https://www.theluminare.com/sustainability This was a big deal for the floral workshop because we were installing a large amount of roses and needed to use some recyclable floral foam.

This styled shoot at the Luminare is the result of all the hard work put on by the women at the Floral hustle workshop. There were some incredibly talented florists that showed up to learn and design for a day. At the end we were able to capture some of the beauty of their designs in the Luminare space. The Luminaire space is so gorgeous. It has high ceilings and plenty of space for a larger wedding and is located very close to the U of M campus. The white walls and windows  of the Luminare allow a perfect backdrop for some incredible wedding decor. If you're in North Minneapolis check out the event space. It's available for every type of event weather a company holiday party or a wedding. It's new right now so book quick before prices go up!
