I recently moved

It wasn't easy and its actually required a lot more work than I ever expected. I moved from Stevens Point, WI to Eagan, MN to try my hand in a bigger city. I had a few reasons for the change. 1. I wanted to do photo and video full time as a career and I felt that it wasn't possible in Stevens point. 2. I also knew my dating prospects might be limited in a smaller community. 3. I envisioned moving to a larger city for a while but always came up with excuses for not doing it or lost track of it along the way. I wanted to make the change and make a decision I would be happy with 5-10 years down the road.

So I loaded up a Penske moving truck, said goodbye to my employer (I switched jobs during the change) and began renovating a condo I bought. I learned two things in the first 3 weeks of moving. Life is a lot more work than I ever imagined. Finding community is a lot harder than I anticipated at age 33.

It wasn't smooth and the road rarely is but when it gets hard I remember growing up and switching schools 4 years in a row and the difficulty in making friends. It eventually all works out and it's in God's timing. I feel I stepped out in faith trusting that God who can do more than I would ever ask or imagine has big things in store for me. I hope you're encouraged yourself as you read this. When life gets difficult it can be easy to lose perspective.
