Daniel + Lauren HAataja.
My friend Anne Noel recommended me for a wedding near the end of last August. The wedding was at 7 Vine Vineyard in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. I hadn't been before as I am still relatively new to the MN market, so I was excited to see a new venue.
Daniel and Lauren's wedding day was full of friends from Heritage Christian School. The best man shared a funny story where when Daniel was younger he earned the nickname "hot Dan" from his school-assigned computer username "haatdan."
The dance floor was bumping. A lot of different friends and family were involved, and you could tell this was a family that enjoyed each other and was there to celebrate the couple. Life this year (2024) has looked different with the career shift to filming weddings full-time.
A few months back I stepped away from a very nice office job at Connexus Credit Union as a scrum master and jumped full-time into being a Minnesota Wedding Videographer. The jump wasn't easy, but the rewards for getting to do something I love have been worth it. I've got more uncertainty, but sometimes that's a good thing in life
I thought it through, prayed it through, and then jumped into something different than any other career I've had before.
It's been 6 months now. I'm happy to report I'm still alive. I still have been paying my bills. God has been good and provided. Just a reminder to myself that He can provide more than we ask or imagine.
